5/22/2020 - Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Donates Books to Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office hosted a book drive called "Keeping the Mind of a Veteran Sharp" the last week of February.  Some of the donors included Freeholder Director Derella and the Bridgeton Public Library.  The book drive was very successful and the Sheriff's Office donated 22 boxes full of books to the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland.  The books were delivered Thursday, May 21, 2020.  During this time of COVID-19, in order to maintain the health and safety of all residents at the Veterans Memorial Home, the residents have been quarantined to limited areas in the building and at this time there are no planned activities allowed.  Therefore, the books were delivered during a time of need and allows the residents to enjoy reading.

In the pictures are some volunteers from the Veterans home as well as Sheriff Austino, Undersheriff Vincent Solazzo, Officer Erica Quinones and Officer J. Rodriguez.

Sheriff Robert Austino and Officers would like to thank everyone in Cumberland County that donated books for such a great cause!
