6/14/2018 - Office on Aging Annual Public Hearings to be held on June 27, 2018

PUBLIC HEARINGS ARE BEING HELD ON JUNE 27, 2018

            The Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled will hold both its annual public hearing for Older Americans Act funded Senior Services and for the Senior Citizens and Disabled Resident Transportation Assistance Program services provided by the Cumberland Area Transit System on June 27, 2018 at the George P. Luciano Family Center at the Cumberland County College, College Drive in Vineland.   The public hearing for the Older Americans Act funded program will begin at 9:30 am with the Transportation Program hearing set to begin at 11:00 am. 

            The purpose of these hearings is to offer elderly and disabled County residents, caregivers, and the general public the opportunity to comment on the needs of the elderly and disabled. Comments regarding needs that can be addressed by advocacy activities and available service funding are of particular interest. The 2019-2021 Area Plan Grant provides services funded under Title III of the Older Americans Act, Social Services Block Grant, State Safe Housing & Transportation, Adult Protective Services, Casino revenues, State, municipal and County funds.   The Senior Citizens and Disabled Resident Transportation Assistance Program is funded with Casino revenues and County funds. Comments in writing will be accepted until June 25, 2018 as part of the public record of this hearing and should be addressed to: Barbara Nedohon, Executive Director, Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled, 800 E.
