CUMBERLAND COUNTY LIBRARY RECEIVES $600 GRANT FROM THE DOLLAR GENERAL LITERACY FOUNDATION

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recently awarded Cumberland County Library a $600 grant to support children’s literacy. The grant will be used to help support the library’s 2014 summer reading program.

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation supports initiatives that help others improve their lives through literacy and education. Since its inception in 1993, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded more than $92 million in grants to nonprofit organizations, helping more than five million individuals take their first steps towards literacy or continued education.
