9/6/2013 - County road project updates now on website

Cumberland County Road Project Updates Now on Web  

The public can now follow the progress of a long list of road improvement projects underway across Cumberland County, right on their computers.

The Department of Public Works in collaboration with the county IT department have added a link on upper right corner of the county’s website (cumberlandcountynj.gov).

The list includes federally and state-funded road improvement projects.

Among the larger projects nearing completion this week, Brewster Road in Vineland.

As crews wrap up work on summer projects, a number of others will be starting in coming weeks.

 

2013 Public Works Project Update  

2012 Federal Highway Administration Funded Road Program – 2.1 million

  • Brewster Rd – Completed except for punch list items.
  • Lincoln Ave – Drainage complete, installing electrical for traffic signal replacement, mill and overlay to follow
  • Union Rd. – Completed except for punch list items

2013 NJDOT Funded Road Program 5.79 million

  • Glade Rd – Drainage complete, mill and overlay to follow
  • Polk Lane  – Drainage complete, mill and overlay to follow
  • Burlington Rd – Drainage in process
  • Wheaton Island  – Drainage complete, mill and overlay to follow
  • Newport Neck Rd – Drainage complete, mill and overlay to follow
  • Vineland Ave – Drainage to begin week of Sept. 2nd
  • Fairton Rd – Anticipated start date Sept 16th
  • School House – Drainage complete, mill and overlay to follow
  • Matts Landing Rd – Drainage complete, mill and overlay to follow

NJDOT Funded Bridge Program – $ 632,000

  • Causeway Bridge over Stow Creek – Pre Con scheduled for Sept 5th

August 14, 2011 Storm – 75% FEMA reimbursement - $ 907,000

  • Harmony Road - Project schedule to begin October 1st

August 14, 2011 Storm – 80% Federal Highway reimbursement

  • West Park Drive Embankment Stabilization – Anticipate awarding bid at the September 24th Freeholder meeting

NJDOT Funded Guiderail Program - $ 342,000

  • Various locations throughout the County – Fall 2013 anticipated start date

NJDOT Funded Striping Program - $ 306,000

  • Various locations throughout the County – Fall 2013 anticipated start date
