Cumberland County Library Receives Grant from Target for

Children’s Program

Cumberland County Library has received an Early Childhood Reading Grant from Target, in recognition of its efforts to encourage children to read. The grant will be used to fund the library’s children’s program expenses including arts and crafts events, the purchase of new children’s books, and the hiring of children’s program presenters.

This grant is part of ongoing efforts by Target to strengthen families and communities throughout the country. Since 1946, Target has given 5 percent of its income to communities. Today, that giving equals more than $3 million every week.

Cumberland County Library is located at 800 East Commerce Street in Bridgeton, NJ. The library may be contacted at (856) 453-2210.
