Cumberland County Military Service Medal
On Wednesday, March 20th from 9am to 6:30pm the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Cumberland County College’s Student Senate, Cumberland County Veterans’ Affairs, Cumberland County Office of Employment and Training and the Community Education Opportunity Group will host the 2nd Annual Military Honors Event. The event will be held at Cumberland County College, located at 3322 College Drive in Vineland.
The mission of this event is to not only present up to 50 local Veterans with the Cumberland County Military Service Medal, but to provide an event that includes students from Cumberland County College and participants from our community through events and activities during this special day
The day will kick-off with a “Hire Our Local Heroes Job and Career Fair” from 09:00-11:30am, followed by the 3:00pm Flag Raising Ceremony and finally culminating with the Military Service Medal Ceremony from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Medal presentations will be held at the Luciano Conference Center with other events activities in the same general area. Veteran resource organizations will be on-hand along with a special area designated to give everyone an opportunity to place a U.S. Flag in honor of a Fallen Hero from New Jersey.
If you are a Cumberland County Veteran or know someone who is and they have not received the Cumberland County Military Service Medal, please contact the Cumberland County Veteran Affairs and Interment Office and speak with either Joyce at (856)453-2166 or Diana at (856)453-2239 for eligibility requirements and an application.
