Veterans Medal Ceremony
If you are a post 9/11 veteran and haven’t registered to take part in the special October 28th Cumberland County medal ceremony, you still have until the end of today (Friday) to participate.
The upcoming event is the latest in a series of ceremonies held by the Cumberland County Board of Freeholders to pay tribute to county residents who have served our country in the armed forces. The last one was held back in April.
This one specifically honors county residents who have served over the past nine years -- since the 9/11 attacks.
If you, or someone you know is eligible for the medal, the county Veterans Commission asks you to please contact them at (856) 453-2239.
Veterans Commission Director, Diana M. Pitman says even if you don’t register by today’s deadline, please register now, so you can take part in medal ceremonies scheduled for future dates.
