JOB TITLE: Sr. Accountant

SALARY RANGE: $35,500 - $46,663
HOURS/WEEK: 35 hours
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction, performs the more complex accounting work involved in preparing financial statements and in maintaining an accounting system; does related work as required. Maintains accounting records for various grant programs, including multi-funded programs. Supervises an accounting staff.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree which shall have included twenty-one (21) semester hour credits in professional accounting subjects. One (1) year of professional accounting or auditing experience. Must have knowledge of principles, methods and procedures used in modern accounting. Must be able to use both Lotus and Microsoft software. Must be able to provide technical advice and assistance to those charged with keeping financial records.
