Public Health Epidemiologist
Provisional appointment pending civil service procedures
Salary Range: $62,426 - 70,747

Duties: Under direction, plans, organizes and implements an epidemiological public health program; provides consultation and advice to health care providers, infection control professionals and others; does other related work.

*This position will be responsible for analyzing and reporting COVID-19 related data for use in COVID-19 related planning, response, and evaluation initiatives. This is a grant-funded position; position may be eliminated if
grant funds become unavailable.


Requirements:

 EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in public health or related field, preferably with a focus in epidemiology, biostatistics, or quantitative analysis.

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as an epidemiologist in a health-
related field or professional experience in data management.

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license in New
Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is
necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, to include drug screenings, and criminal background checks.
