Budget Officer
Finance Department, Budget Division
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Duties: Division Head for Finance Department, Budget Division, reports to the County CFO
Budget, Grants and Capital –
Prepares, processes, monitors and amends the operating, grant and capital budgets
Coordinates with Bond Counsel, Bond Ordinances and Debt Issuance
Maintain General Ledger, Budget and Revenue Accounts
Prepares periodic reports and analysis
Assists CFO with Internal Audits as considered necessary
Supervises –
The Process for expense reclassification and budget amendment/modification
The Grant Process, Reporting and Receivables
Revenue posting - ACH and EFT transfers
Reconcile bank activity
Prepare monthly Treasurer’s Report of Cash and Investments
Monitor Debt payment due dates and make transfers
Requirements:
The ability to balance multiple tasks in a demanding environment. A “people person” who understands the role of supporting and assisting others.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or directly related field.
CMFO or CCFO is required - CPA/RMA License is preferred
Technical proficiency as an application user in office software applications including the Microsoft Office suite, accounting/bookkeeping systems, and other database systems.
