Starting Salary: $29,192
Full Salary Range: $29,192 - $40,390

 Under direction of the Purchasing Agent and Buyers, processes requisitions for procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, or services; reviews requisitions for compliance with state laws and regulations as well as county policy; edits and compiles information from requisitions to prepare purchase orders; places orders with and communicates with vendors, processes invoices for payment, does related work as required.

Requirements: The ability to balance multiple tasks in a demanding environment. A “people person” who understands the role of supporting and assisting others.

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or a related field or five (5) years’ relevant experience or an Associate’s Degree with two (2) years’ experience.

This position is subject to a keyboarding examination in which candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing 40 words per minute.

Cumberland County Residency is required.

Note: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness screening and criminal background checks. Permanent appointment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable Civil Service processes and requirements.
