Senior Citizen Program Aide
Starting Salary: $26,065
Duties: Reports to the Program Director of the Outreach Program/Aging & Disability Resource Connection; under close supervision, provides information and referral and benefits counseling to senior citizens and/or disabled clients; assists clients in completing applications for various benefits; responsible for maintaining and updating resource information when observed; documents referral work within established computer program; prepares reports when necessary; conducts home visits; makes agency contacts on behalf of clients; arranges transportation for clients when appropriate; and other duties as requested.
Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand or otherwise communicate in English
sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Bilingual preferred. Ability to utilize a computer and other office equipment (i.e., fax and copy machines), with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office software programs. Ability to follow procedures and daily instructions. Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license required.
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
