Seasonal Library Intern – Summer Reading Program
Cumberland County Library
Part-Time Position – Available Immediately
Salary Range: $9.38 per hour
Duties: Reports to the Library Director. Under close supervision, assists with the summer reading program and various other library duties as needed. Such tasks include, but are not limited to assisting with story times, arts, crafts, games, shelving, and outside events and activities. Also assists with technology and media projects, such as website development.
Requirements: Ability to effectively read, write, speak and understand English. Bilingual preferred. Strong communication skills. Experience with supervising and assisting children and teenagers, ages 5-17. Ability to provide own transportation to and from any remote program location.
Hours: Limited 8-week position (Late June to mid-August). 15 hours per week. Some Saturday hours required.
Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, to include drug screenings, and criminal background checks.
