Maintenance Repairer
Low Pressure License LPL

Starting Salary: $34,405 – $47,603

Duties:
Under direction, performs a various routine maintenance/repair tasks either singularly or in any combination thereof in the following fields: masonry, plastering, carpentry, painting, plumbing, steam fitting, sheet metal, electrical, glazing, and mechanical; does related work as required.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the standards tools, materials, methods, and practices involved in performing general maintenance and repair work.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in performing general maintenance and repair work.
Ability to understand, and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position
Ability to utilize various types of electronic and manual recording information systems used by the county.
Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy (industrial-type) powered scrubbers and buffers.
Washes sidewalks, buildings etc. using pressure washer.
Vacuum cleans rugs, using heavy duty vacuum cleaner, adjusts, cleans, and oils these machines, and changes brushes, rollers, and other attachments on them.
Washes and replaces Venetian blinds, and washes ceiling fixtures and room partitions, using ladders and scaffolds.
Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment.
Removes stains from a variety of surfaces, using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
Works on ladders and scaffolds to change light bulbs, replace Venetian blinds, wash walls, etc.
Washes and cleans windows and floors, polishes floors, dusts desks, tables, chairs and other furniture.
Paints various surfaces from ladders, scaffolds, and platforms at varied heights, using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.

License:
Applicants must possess a current, valid Black Seal Boiler Operator License of low pressure issued by the
New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Possession of a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License

Hours:
Shifts vary and include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. 40 Hours per week work
