Salary: $65,000

Duties:
Under the direct supervision of the Department Head, assists in the administration of the Department’s activities as it relates to substance abuse and mental health services. Takes the lead in conducting the process resulting in the development of a comprehensive substance abuse and mental health services plan. Duties to include coordination of services, preparing and submitting funding applications; development, promotion, and implementation of programs to meet the community service needs. Monitors, and evaluates the contracted services and prevention programs provided in a county by public agencies and/or private organizations. May provide oversight and supervision of substance abuse and co-occurring treatment services. Attends meetings in and out of county, and acts as liaison between various concerned organizations. Provides the public with information concerning substance abuse and mental health issues; Schedules meeting, prepares agendas, and prepares reports for various committees, and/or subcommittees. Will prepare and submit fiscal and programmatic reports. Knowledge of Microsoft office programs required; ability to learn other reporting systems. Other duties as required.

Hours:
Full-time 35 hours per week – Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements:
A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field. At least three years (3) years of administrative experience in an agency providing counseling or community services for substance abuse and/or mental health services. Possession of a license as a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) issued by the state of New Jersey, Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners, a NJ licensed professional counselor (LPC), or NJ licensed social work (LCSW). Must be able to travel. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Note:
Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, to include drug screenings, and criminal background checks.
