Starting Salary: $34,665
Duties: Under direction, visits various employers throughout the jurisdiction to explain the program to owners and/or executives of various companies or other organizations; interviews and refers participants to potential employers; schedules job interviews; transports participants; checks job progress of participants; researches material for job descriptions; other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. One (1) year of experience in manpower development and training, job placement, education or vocational counseling, or a combination thereof. Knowledge of interviewing techniques. Ability to follow oral and written directions in a timely and accurate manner. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with the public. Knowledge of modern office methods to include experience with email and Microsoft Office products. Ability to work independently without immediate supervision. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Note: Applicants who do not meet the education requirement may substitute additional work experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience.
Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness screenings and
criminal background checks.
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
