Seasonal Intern
Mosquito Division 
Salary Range: $10/hour

Duties:
Under supervision of the Biologist, performs varied types of manual and unskilled work, and drives a truck in connection with work; does other related duties as required.
Drives to various sites throughout the County to conduct light trap collections.
Sorts through light trap collections to isolate collected mosquitoes.
Sets up and tears down vector surveillance traps.
Collects mosquitoes from vector surveillance traps.
Engages in basic trap maintenance.
Helps distribute fish to various mosquito habitats.
Collects mosquito larvae.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of the methods, materials, and supplies used to perform varied types of manual and unskilled tasks.
Ability to perform manual tasks either alone or as a member of the division.
Ability to perform assigned tasks under varying temperatures and climatic conditions.
Ability to learn to use the tools and equipment necessary to perform routine, unskilled tasks.
Ability to follow safety precautions in the operation of assigned tools and equipment.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Possession of a valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Enrollment in a Biology related college curriculum

Note:
Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes
drug screening, criminal background check, and verifications of clean driving record.
