Salary Range: $34,926- $50,488
Duties:
Under direction, operates one or more types of gasoline or diesel powered equipment to perform assignments to
push, pull, pile, lift, and load materials; clears brush and debris; levels earth to rough specification on simple,
rolling terrain and/or level surfaces; inspects equipment daily and reports unsafe conditions; services and makes minor emergency repairs in garage or field; lubricates/oils equipment; drives a truck with a single axle to transport nonhazardous materials and equipment; does other related work
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to operate equipment.
Knowledge of equipment and vehicle operation and maintenance inspection.
Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
One (1) year of experience in the maintenance of construction equipment.
One (1) year of experience in operating equipment, driving a dump truck.
Possession of a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class A or Class B endorsement. Regulations include ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screening, criminal background check, and verifications of clean driving record.
