**Provisional, Pending Civil Service Testing**
Salary Range: $41,613 - $46,070
Duties: Assists an administrative official in the formulation of effective policies and procedures for the office and other clerical and related operations of the department. Assists in drafting proposed ordinances and/or resolutions. Collects and analyzes data needed as a basis for administrative decisions in addition to performing general administrative clerical and related work. Maintains financial and/or personnel records, prepares payroll, makes purchases, compiles data, checks and/or approves invoices and vouchers, and collects and/or deposits money. Performs other duties as required.
Requirements: Five (5) years of experience in clerical work. Possession of an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Knowledge of purchasing procedures preferred. Ability to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems used by the department. Ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.
Hours: Full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screenings and criminal background checks. This position is subject to a typing examination in which candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing 40 net words per minute.
