Senior Citizen Program Aide (Part-Time)
Starting Salary: $26,065 (Prorated at $14.26/hour for hours worked)
Reports to the Program Director of the Outreach Program/Aging & Disability Resource Connection; under close supervision, provides information and referral and benefits counseling to senior citizens and/or disabled clients; responsible for maintaining and updating resource information when observed; documents referral work within established computer program; prepares reports when necessary; conducts home visits; makes agency contacts on behalf of clients; arranges transportation for clients when appropriate; and other duties as requested.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand or otherwise communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Ability to utilize a computer and other office equipment (i.e., fax and copy machines), with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office software programs. Ability to follow procedures and daily instructions. Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license required.
Hours: Not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
