Duties:             Reports to the County Engineer. Performs work under the supervision of the County Engineer including but not limited to preparing a
                        complete set of construction drawings using Auto CAD for roadway construction, drainage projects and other Civil Engineering work;
                        reducing survey information and making mathematical calculations to estimate construction quantities; field work includes surveying
                        for construction projects, inspections, preparing daily inspection reports, making routine test involving strength, composition and 
                        quality of construction; preparing and checking contract progress estimates; keeping records; and related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Two years of sub-professional engineering experience involving inspections, surveys, tests, drafting, and mathematical computations,
                         or other sub-professional engineering. Engineering education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-to-year basis 
                        with 30 semester hour credits equal to one year of experience. Knowledge of the characteristics and properties of the materials and of
                        the instruments used in road and other engineering construction activities.
