JOB TITLE: Omnibus Operator
# POSITIONS: Two (2)
SALARY RANGE: $14.79 per hour
HOURS/WEEK: Part-time as needed
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction, drives a motor vehicle with a passenger capacity of at least six persons for transporting people on assigned established routes or to special activities, events or various destinations; may also clean, service, and make recommendations for repairs to such vehicles; does related work as required. Must be able to perform safety check on vehicle. Assists passengers on and off vehicles and maintains discipline among persons. Provides aide and/or helper services as assigned for clients needing special assistance in riding on buses.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid NJ CDL with passenger endorsement. Must have the ability to assist clients on and off vehicle, including wheelchair passengers. Must be able to follow oral and written directions, and analyze problems regarding operations and daily schedule of vehicles. Ability to write required reports and keep necessary records. Ability to drive vehicles in a skilled and safe manner.
