Youth Group Worker
Juvenile Detention Center
Starting Salary: $35,672
Provisional Appointment Pending Civil Service Procedures

Duties: Reports to the Department Head; supervises and conducts group and individual activities designed to benefit juveniles with behavioral problems; does related work as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, or related fields. One (1) year of experience in professional counseling and guidance or in the professional work in the fields of teaching, social welfare, or medical social services.
Hours: Typical work assignment is 11:30am – 8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Note: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness screening and criminal background checks.
