 Division Head:
Cumberland Area Transit System (CATS)

Salary Range:  $47,884 - $59,856

Duties:
Reports to the Director of the Office on Aging and the Disabled; performs functions directly related to the management and administration of transportation services, including policy development and interpretation; develops and reviews documents associated with state and federal grants and standards and assures adherence to such; completes and submits state and federal Department of Transportation documents in a timely and comprehensive manner; recommends hiring, training and termination of staff; assigns routes and projects; conducts annual staff performance evaluations; monitors and mentors staff for adherence to drug and alcohol rules and regulations and overall driver safety programs; acts to promote vehicular safety and security; manages budget and reviews all expenditures; assists County outreach efforts to create and maintain community awareness of CATS; conducts audits to achieve reliable ridership and service quality data; remains current with appropriate local, state and federal traffic and transportation laws; establishes and monitors staff training programs; related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Five years of employment experience within a transportation or similar organization. Supervisory experience. Computer literacy. Strong organizational, customer service and technology skills. Possession of a valid N.J. driver’s license.
