JOB TITLE: Radio Dispatcher- Bilingual

SALARY RANGE: $25,318 - $32,413
HOURS/WEEK: 35 hours per week
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under supervision, records telephone communications and receives and relays radio messages to various vehicles and to concerned personnel; does other related duties as required. Operates a radio at the control point of a radio communications system. Maintains an accurate record of all incoming/outgoing communications. Performs subsidiary clerical work. Maintains records and files. Will be required to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the office.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) months of experience in radio dispatching or work involved in the operation of radio and telephone equipment. Knowledge of the operation of radio and telephone equipment. Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions. Ability to organize assigned telephone and radio dispatching work and develop effective work methods. Ability to maintain records and files. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English and Spanish sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
