JOB TITLE: Youth Group Worker- Provisional

SALARY RANGE: $31,561 - $40,116
HOURS/WEEK: 40 hrs per week; 12 noon to 8pm
Sunday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Saturday
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction, supervises and conducts group and individual activities designed to benefit juveniles with behavior problems; does other related work as required. Implements various plans and programs to aid juveniles with problems of adjustment. Conducts individual and group counseling to address emotional and behavioral problems facing juveniles. Court liaison and agency advocate. Prepares and maintains necessary records and files.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a 4 year course at an accredited college or university with a major course of study in sociology, psychology, or related fields. One year of experience in professional counseling and guidance or in professional work in the fields of teaching, social welfare or medical social services. Considerable knowledge of the psychological and social problems of juveniles. Must have a valid NJ driver license. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
