JOB TITLE: Building Maintenance Worker

SALARY RANGE: $14,796.00
HOURS/WEEK: Part-Time 19 Hours per week


JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs varied, simple and moderately physically strenuous tasks involving the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Washes windows and floors, polishes floors, dusts, cleans lavatories, moves furniture and polishes metal fixtures, collects trash, mows lawns, trims hedges, shovels snow and spreads salt in winter. Works on ladders and scaffolds to change light bulbs, HVAC filters, make minor repairs to buildings and so forth. Assists carpenters, painters and plumbers; which includes carrying tolls, cleaning up after job is completed, etc.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of the problems, procedures, methods and supplies used in cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds. Able to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this job. Able to carry out instructions. Must have valid New Jersey drivers license.
