SALARY RANGE: $44,887
HOURS/WEEK: 35 hours per week (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM/Mon-Fri)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops lesson plans in accordance with student abilities. Provides classroom instruction in an institutional setting. Administers tests to determine scholastic standing. Prepares accurate and informative reports. Keeps records and files. Provides individual remedial instruction as needed. Confers with local school authorities, Child Study Teams and other parties on student progress. Stimulates an interest in learning.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a New Jersey Teaching Certificate with preference given to Teacher of the Handicapped. Fifteen (15) semester hours must be within the following areas: compensatory education, affective education, special education, group dynamics and guidance or counseling. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
