Native Nations Dance Theater to Perform at Cumberland County Library
The Native Nations Dance Theater will present a free Native American dance performance at the Cumberland County Library on Saturday, December 14th at 1 p.m. The Native Nations dancers will perform several dances from Native American culture and explain the meaning behind the dances, providing a better understanding of American Indian people and their culture.
Native Nations Dance Theater (NNDT) is a professional touring dance company. Its mission is to present authentic American Indian themes to institutions of higher learning and audiences worldwide. NNDT has offices in Philadelphia and South Dakota and has presented to millions of people nationwide, appearing on radio, television and films. They have performed at over 500 schools worldwide.
Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders through the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
