7/30/2013 - Yucky Worms - kid's program at county library

Cumberland County Library Children’s Program

Tuesday, August 6that 6:30pm Miss Melody will be reading Yucky Worms by Vivian French. The story gives a detailed explanation of what the worm does for the environment. Miss Melody will discuss worms and why they are important. Afterwards, children will be comparing real live worms with gummy worms. They will record the differences and similarities of the worms. Moreover, they will race their worms. Children will each have a worm to race. The worms will be placed in a circle. The first worm to wiggle out of the circle wins. Children may take the worm home to place in their yards. Come out have fun with the worms at the Cumberland County Library. Programs are free and open to the public. It is never too late to join the summer reading program!
