Cumberland County Library Children’s Program

Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:30pm Miss Melody will be reading The Magic School Bus: Inside the Earth by Joanna Cole. Ms. Frizzle is known for taking her class on adventurous field trips. With help from the magic school bus, Ms. Frizzle takes her class inside the Earth! The book tells the story of how the children learned what the Earth is made up of. One thing they learn on their journey is that rocks have a much bigger role than they may have thought.

This week the summer reading group will be talking about rocks! Children will get to look at different kinds of rocks and learn more about them. They will each be given a rock that they will crush to find the treasure inside! Miss Melody will guide the children through an experiment to make crystals. The kids will love watching their crystals grow each week! Come out and join the fun this summer at the Cumberland County Library. Children’s Programs are free and open to the public.

Cumberland County Library is located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Route 49), Bridgeton, NJ.  Call 856-453-2210 ext. 101 for further information.
