3/7/2013 - Japanese Artifact Display hosted by Library
Cumberland County Library is hosting a display of Japanese artifacts from the collections of Misono Miller of Millville and Lenore Wurtzel of Bridgeton. These items include Japanese dolls, tea cups and tea pot, a wooden flute and an abacus, among other things. These items highlight the recent addition to the library’s collection of 100 Books for Understanding Contemporary Japan, a grant from the Nippon Foundation to advance understanding of Japanese culture. Between 2008 and 2012, a total of 54,071 books were sent to 857 libraries in 115 countries. Cumberland County Library is honored to be part of that number.
