3/4/2013 - Easter egg hunt at county library Mar. 23

Cumberland County Library Children’s Reading Program
Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 23rd at 12pm Miss Melody will read The Grumpy Easter Bunny by Justine Korman. The story follows a grumpy Easter bunny who decides to keep all the candy that he was supposed to hide. After seeing how upset the little ones were when they went looking for Easter eggs and found none, the grumpy Easter bunny realized how selfish he had been. The “Great Hare” (which is the oldest Easter bunny), hides some eggs for the little ones to find and makes the grumpy Easter bunny watch the little ones hunt for the Easter eggs. At that moment, grumpy becomes no longer known as grumpy.

After the story, Miss Melody will take the children outside for an Easter Egg Hunt! Children ages 3-12 are welcome to this event. Note: There will be two sections of the hunt: one for the young children and one for the older children. All children’s programs are free and open to the public.
