10/2/2012 - Oct. 10 4-H event at County Library

Cumberland County Library hosts 4 H Event

Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30pm the Cumberland County Library Children’s Reading Program will join in celebrating the fifth annual National 4 H Youth Science Day. The 2012 National Science Experiment, the 4-H Eco-Bot Challenge, explores how robots can be used to preserve and protect the environment, while offering a glimpse into the future of science, technology, engineering and math. Youth will assemble their Eco-Bot and discover how the robot functions. Youth will also design a set of control surfaces to program the Eco-Bot to perform a simulated environmental clean-up project. They will measure the effectiveness of their control surfaces by recording how much of the spill is “swept up” by the Eco-Bot. Youth in grades 3 and above and their families are invited to join the fun! For more information about the event call the Cumberland 4-H Center at (856) 451-2800 ext. #3 or visit the Cumberland 4-H website at cumberland4h.org.

Cumberland County Library is located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Route 49), Bridgeton, NJ.  Call 856-453-2210 ext. 101 for further information.
