Start your Monday morning with a smile and relaxation by practicing yoga. Yoga classes for all ages continue at the Cumberland County Library in July.  There will be no class on July 2 however classes resume on July 9 through the 30th.   The class begins  at 10:30 a.m.  however coming early is advised to set up your mat.  Although the class is free, donations will be accepted for the instructor.

Soft and gentle poses are led by yoga teacher, Ceci Brandt, of Vineland. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat if you have one. Chairs will be provided.

Ceci is a certified yoga teacher and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years. In 2009 she graduated from a 235- hour yoga teacher training at the Yoga Center of Medford, Medford N.J.

In May 2009 Ceci began teaching classes in the Cumberland County area.

Her major focus has been reaching interested individuals at their level of ability. With “Yoga for everyone” as the touchstone of the classes offered, Ceci leads yoga classes for seniors at daycare centers, senior centers and assisted living centers. She also instructs children’s and adults at every level.

Ceci teaches a soft and gentle Hatha style yoga. Breathing techniques and yoga philosophy are also taught joining breath with body.

To assist students in their yoga practice, props and modifications are utilized. For example, chairs and blocks are available for students to help them to find their way into a yoga pose.

Some of the many benefits of practicing yoga over time include relaxation, increased strength, optimized breath, improved balance and mental focus and mood.
