Millville Car Show On High Street
The Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce and the Garden State 50’s Auto Club will host Millville’s downtown car show featuring antique and classic cars on Saturday, August 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Glasstown Arts District. In case of rain, the show will be held the following Saturday, August 20th.
Cars made before 1986 are eligible to participate, as well as special interest and modern collectibles of any age. Judges will award over 50 trophies, including two Best of Show. Trophy presentation will be at 2 p.m. at the Glasstown Plaza.
Many of the downtown shops, galleries and restaurants will be open so there will be lots to enjoy throughout the day. Street activities will include Cumberland County Martial Arts Center performing at 1 p.m. at High and Mulberry streets, and children’s events at High and Vine streets. The ‘Angeltones’ will perform top 40 oldies at the Glasstown Plaza at High and Sassafras Streets. Singer, comedian, actor and radio personality Johnny Petillo will perform in front of the Quinn Broadcasting building in the 400 block of High Street throughout the day. ‘Corky’s Time Machine’ will be spinning oldies tunes throughout the day.
Registration applications are available at Plowman’s Windows and Doors, 118 E. Vine St. and The Incredible Bulk, 101 N. High St., or by calling John at 856-825-3047. Dash plaques and T-shirts will be given to the first 250 cars registered.
