The work performed by the Environmental Division falls into two categories, Consumer Heath which is organized under the State’s Department of Health and Environmental Health which is organized under the State’s Department of Environmental Protection. Together these two categories represent twenty-six different programs within the Cumberland County Health Department’s Environmental Division. These programs focus on investigating and diagnosing environmental health hazards which may affect our community. We are asked to enforce the laws and regulations that will protect the health and safety of our community. We take pride in our commitment to inform, educate, and empower the residents of Cumberland County to be knowledgeable of the conditions that may be effecting their health. For more information about any of our programs, click the links on the right hand side of the page.
