Cumberland County Library Children’s Programs for Week of February 2

Bridgeton, NJ: Valentine’s Day is the central focus for children’s programs this week at the Cumberland County Library.

Wednesday, February 4th’s pre-school story time begins at 10:30 with the featured story, “Max’s Valentine.” by Kay Barnes. Children will enjoy following the story with Miss Cindy in our story corner. Afterwards, children will create Valentine hearts and make other holiday crafts with Miss Cindy’s help. Plenty of time will be left for a game or two!

Also, on Wednesday at 4:00pm, first through fifth graders will create their own, special Valentines. After the featured story, “The Ballad of Valentine,” there will be time left to enjoy some candy hearts, too!

For Saturday, February 7, the 10:00am pre-schooler’s group will enjoy music and games together. Included is a finger puppet production! The stage is set waiting for our puppeteers. Those who missed the opportunity for making Wednesday’s craft project will be given another opportunity on Saturday.

At 11:30am children in grades 1-5 will participate in “parachute play” and “freeze dance.” The kids will also enjoy a homemade trivia game and enjoy more crafts.

Each program lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cumberland County Library is located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Rt. 49), Bridgeton, NJ. Call 856-453-2210, Ext. 124 for further information.
