Student Works in Clay

Stop by the Cumberland County Library to see the fine examples of works in clay, created by students, ages 6 to 12, at Cumberland County College’s Clay College. Students of Clay College form distinctive pottery and sculpture by using various hand-building techniques including pinch, coil, slab, and pottery wheel.

Students’ creativity is unleashed as seen in the many colorful pieces on display. Roosters, hearts, dog bowls, cat bowls and mermaids are ready to delight you. See if you can find the steer, penguin and fish that grace the glass shelves in our display case!

Located at 108 North High Street, Millville, in the Arts District, Clay College is a spacious facility well equipped to serve the needs of students from elementary school age to adult. The Cumberland County Library is pleased to be able to showcase the work of the talented youngsters who live in our area. These works will be on display through May 5.

The library is open to the public Monday through Wednesday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The library is accessible to all, with a ramp at the main entrance, automatic sliding glass doors and an elevator accessing all levels.
