4-H HOSTS FAVORITE FOOD SHOW WORKSHOP
4-H leaders and members learned about recipes, centerpieces, menus and nutrition at a 4-H Favorite Food Workshop held on Tuesday, January 3 at the 4-H Center in Rosenhayn. This was in preparation for the 4-H Favorite Food Show set for Saturday, February 4 at the Cumberland Mall.
The workshop covered all aspects of this cooking and table-setting contest. Topics included basic nutrition, menu planning, proper table setting techniques, selecting centerpieces and food preparation skills.
Participants practiced creating a variety of table settings & centerpieces, planning sample well-balanced menus and were given suggestions for choosing an appropriate Favorite Food to prepare.
All 4-H’ers in this year’s 4-H Favorite Food Show will receive an award ribbon and token gift from the co-sponsors of this event, the Millville Kiwanis Club.
