Preschool Story Time

Tuesdays, October 11, 18 and 25 at 10:30 am.  Children ages 2-6 and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs, finger plays, crafts and a snack.  Story time is free and registration is requested.

 

Teen Tuesday – A weekly program for teens ages 12-18 funded by a Community Development Block Grant.

Tuesday, October 4 at 6pm – Teen Library Council Meeting -- TLC members help plan programs for teens and children, choose new books for the library, and much more! New members are welcome.

Tuesday, October 11 at 6pm – Teen Anime Night – Watch newly released anime, and choose new anime and manga for the library. Those who like to draw are encouraged to bring their art to share. No registration required!

Tuesday, October 18 at 6pm -- Teen Library Council Meeting -- TLC members help plan programs for teens and children, choose new books for the library, and much more! New members are welcome.

Tuesday, October 25 at 6pm – Teen Movie and Pizza!  -- Suit up for comedy as three unemployed parapsychology professors start a unique ghost removal service in this classic comedy from the 80’s. Rated PG. Pizza will be served. Please register.

 

Book Discussion

Monday, October 10 at 1:30. Featured book:  Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. Copies of the book are available at the library.

 

Movie Night!

Thursday, October 13 at 6pm. Why pay a small fortune to go to the movies when you can see one on our big screen for free! The animals at Franklin Park Zoo love their kindhearted caretaker, but decide to break their time-honored code of silence when he decides to leave the zoo. They reveal their biggest secret…they can talk! Rated PG. Bring your own snacks, or enjoy our free popcorn. No registration required.

 

Friends of the Library Meeting

Tuesday, October 18 at 7pm. The Friends of the Library raise funds to support the library’s book budget and programs for children. Come out and learn how you can help! New members are always welcome.

 

Creepy Coffee House!

Saturday, October 22, from 7-9:30 pm. Teens, ages 12-18 are invited to perform at this after-hours Coffee House. Participants can read a favorite poem, their own poetry, or show off any talent they might have. Musical instruments are welcome, and there is a piano available for use. Scary performances and costumes are encouraged. Registration required.

 

Video Game Day

Thursday, October 27, from 4-5:30 pm for ages 9-11 -- Join us as we play video games on our big screen! We have the New Super Mario Bros., DDR and Kirby’s Epic Yarn for the Wii, Lego Rock Band for the XBOX 360, and more! Or, bring your own games to share. We have the Wii, PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube. Funded by a Community Development Block Grant.
