8/29/2008 - Excess/Obsolete Computers Available to Non-Profit

PUBLIC NOTICE

In accordance with property management and disposition guidelines established by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Cumberland County Office of Employment and Training, Cumberland County, NJ, herein provides notice that it intends to dispose of computers currently classed as excess/obsolete and listed as being in either poor, fair, or non-working (broken) condition. Prior to disposition through auction or other allowable processes these items are being made available for transfer to local non-profit community programs that provide similarly aligned services to the residents of Cumberland County . The computers are offered in as-is condition with no warranty. The receiving organization shall be solely responsible for transport and delivery of any and all awarded property. Upon transfer the receiving organization will assume ownership of the property.

Non-profit community or faith-based organizations interested in applying to receive these items must complete and submit a formal application no later than September 12, 2008. Applications can be obtained by contacting Bruce Firus at (856) 696-5660 extension 240.

Award decisions will be made based on a combination of factors including, but not necessarily limited to: geographic area covered, need, targeted population(s) to be assisted, identified use that is consistent with the employment, education, or other similarly aligned services for which they were originally purchased, and timeliness of application submission. The Cumberland County Office of Employment and Training holds sole discretion on all disposition award decisions including the right to limit quantities, reject any individual or all applications received, and/or cancel this offer in whole or in part at any time during or upon completion of the application process.
