The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will reopen its 39 agencies, where drivers take care of licenses, registrations and titles, on Mondays, while shuffling hours the rest of the week in a move its chief administrator says will add convenience. The Commission also announced next year it would allow drivers to renew licenses online. That will reduce the need for drivers to visit an agency from every four years to every eight, the Commission said in a news release.

"The Motor Vehicle Commission recognizes the importance of offering residents a variety of hours that fit into their schedules. This move is an important part of our continuing efforts to provide New Jerseyans a positive customer experience at each of our 39 agencies," MVC Chairman and Chief Administrator Raymond P. Martinez said in a statement.

Cumberland County's only MVC agency is at 80 W. Landis Avenue in Vineland.

Starting Saturday, July 2, 2011 MVC agency hours will be:

  • Monday: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
