Cumberland County Library is selling hydrangeas including red ones to raise funds for the county library. The hydrangeas are $20 and may be purchased on the main floor of the county library. They were donated by Overdevest Nurseries on Bowentown Rd. in Bridgeton.

Due to the extreme cuts in the library budget, continuous fundraisers are necessary to purchase adult and children’s books and films.

Overdevest Nurseries is a wholesale only grower, selling to garden centers and distributors in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. The nursery was founded in 1952 by John and Jean Overdevest raising trees and shrubs. Over 1,400 varieties of shrubs, trees, vines, and perennials are grown on a total of approximately 210 acres. The county library appreciates their generosity in donating the plants to the library.

Cumberland County Library is located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Route 49), Bridgeton. Call 856-453-2210 Ext. 101.
