BID INVITATION AND NOTICE TO BIDDERS
COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, NEW JERSEY


The Cumberland County Department of Public Works invites sealed bids for

2010 PAVING PROGRAM
COUNTY ROUTES 624, 628, 644, 659, 664, 669, 690 & 721
TOWNSHIPS OF DOWNE, HOPEWELL, MAURICE RIVER, STOW CREEK & UPPER DEERFIELD
CITIES OF BRIDGETON, MILLVILLE & VINELAND
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

Hot Mix Asphalt 49,000 Tons 
9"x18" Vertical Concrete Curb 11,000 L.F.
HMA Milling 87,000 S.Y.
Roadway Excavation, Unclassified 9,000 S.Y.
Drainage Pipe

5,500 L.F. 

Beam Guide Rail 2,000 L.F.

Specifications may be obtained daily between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. from the County Engineers Office, County Complex Building, 800 East Commerce Street, Bridgeton, New Jersey, for a non refundable fee of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Checks to be made payable to County of Cumberland.

Bids shall be made on the bid form provided and in the manner prescribed. They shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the legend, "BID FOR THE 2010 PAVING PROGRAM, COUNTY ROUTES 624, 628, 644, 659, 664, 669,690 & 721, TOWNSHIPS OF DOWNE, HOPEWELL, MAURICE RIVER, STOW CREEK & UPPER DEERFIELD, CITIES OF BRIDGETON, MILLVILLE & VINELAND, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NEW JERSEY” on the outside. The bids shall be returned to the County Engineer by 10:00 am WEDNESDAY MARCH 10, 2010, when they will be opened and read in public. Late bids will be returned unopened.

* Persons that need an accommodation, (e.g., sign language interpreter, assisted listening device, etc.) must notify the County Office for the Disabled, 800 E. Commerce Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302, 856-453-2156 within 14 days of the scheduled meeting. Cumberland County cannot provide for any accommodation not requested.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 Affirmative Action, P.L. 1977, C. 33 (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) Corporate Disclosure, P.L 2004, C. 57 New Jersey Business Registration and P.L. 1999, C. 238, Public Works Contractor Registration.

In accord with the 1963 Revised Statues of New Jersey, Chapter 150, Prevailing wages as determined by the Commission of Labor and Industry are required to be paid on this project.
