The Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled sponsors TE-ASSURE, a telephone reassurance program for elderly and disabled persons who live alone or who are homebound.
The Tel-Assure Program coordinates a regular telephone contact as a safety and welfare check for elderly and disabled clients. It is for those who live alone or who need a contact to ensure a sense of security. A procedure to notify emergency contacts or the County Sheriff's Department is implemented if the client does not answer when called at an appointed time.

Tel-Assure is available to all eligible residents of the County in accordance with Title V of the Federal Civil Rights Act and applicable State statutes.
