The Cumberland County Department of Consumer Affairs protects consumers from dishonest and unscrupulous practices. Their investigators respond to consumer complaints about merchandise and services including cars, home repairs, telemarketing, and fraudulent prize notifications. In addition, they conduct investigations and task force inspections, and work with the United States Product Safety Commission to enforce product recalls.
