A 1952 Pontiac Chieftain
On February 19, 2000, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department purchased a 1952 Pontiac Chieftain. The vehicle was bought for $3,000.00 with Drug Forfeiture Money provided by Arthur Marchand, the Cumberland County Prosecutor.
This vehicle was purchased to be used as a media tool to promote positive community relations. It will be displayed at civic events, to include; parades, festivals, etc. The vehicle will be a magnet to draw people, at which time Sheriff's Department personnel will distribute public safety information such as Crime Prevention, Seatbelt Safety and Substance Abuse.
