COMMUNITY JUSTICE PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Community Justice Unit of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office to assist local law enforcement agencies and community partners in efforts to:

• Identify quality of life problems impacting County residents; 
•  Develop education, prevention, and intervention strategies to address problems;
• Identify resources to assist in education, prevention, and intervention methods;
• Evaluate and measure impact of implemented strategies;
• Design, develop and implement education and prevention programs that would help improve the quality of life of county residents;
• Research prevention, education and intervention program models used in other locations;
• Facilitate information sharing between local law enforcement agencies and community partners.
