Cumberland County College

Cumberland County College's attractive, 100-acre campus provides an excellent educational and social atmosphere. The New Jersey Department of Higher Education has cited Cumberland County College as a typically superior instituion. Conducted at the college is the finest basic skills program in the state, as noted by the New Jersey Board of Higher Education. Opened in the Fall of 1994, the Frank Guaracini, Jr. Fine and Performing Arts Center serves as the home of the Bridgeton Symphony and showcases many art and musical programs for residents of the entire South Jersey area. The center greatly enhances the quality of life in the community and attracts business and industry to the area.

The college offers 31 transfer and career associate degree programs, 10 certificates, continuing education courses and contract training programs for business and industry. There are 135 full-time and 90 part-time employees. Many have won national, regional and local awards for professional excellence.

About 350 people enrolled in the first class of 1966. Since then, more than 11,000 students have graduated, and countless others have utilized the college's resources to enhance their chances for success. Close to 3,200 students enroll in classes each semester.

Cumberland County College is an equaly opportunity college. More than 70 percent of the college's graduates are the first in their families to obtain degress, and 96 percent of Cumberland's graduates would recommend the college to others.
